F-72-73. Affidavit. Oct. 29, 1814. Rachel Coleman, widow of the late James Coleman deceased, makes oath that her late husband James Coleman, at some time after making his will, gave his son James Coleman Jr. his negro boy Charles, and gave his daughter Catharine his negro boy Herculus, and gave his daughter Betsey his negro girl Sarah, and that immediately after the death of his negro girl Hannah (whom he had willed to his granddaughter Rachel) his negro girl Linda to supply the place of said Hannah deceased, and that the above property (Hannah excepted) is not mentioned in his last will and testament. Sworn to Hugh Lide, one of the justices of the Quorum. Rec. Jan. 20, 1815.

F-440-42. Marriage Settlement. Mar. 6, 1816. Contemplating a marriage between John Good and Susannah Connell, to protect Susannah's property, certain land, negroes and other property are conveyed by them to Timothy Dargan in trust for her and them, and then to their issue. The land includes some bordering on the estate of William Connell. Negroes named are Randal, Silla, Caesar, Rose, Levinia, Daniel, Doll, Prince, Nancy, Cena and Jim.
